What should you do if you lose interest in your girlfriend and want to break up? How do I politely do it?

I have no problem being friends with her, but I am not really in the mood to date anymore. What should you do if you lose interest in your girlfriend and want to break up? How do I politely do it?
Come on out and be honest. I t will hurt her but it'll be better for you to do it now than wait cuz it'll be harder. either way she'll think you might have somebody else or something like that cuz that's the way us girls are. Man, be polite and say what is on your mind. It'll hurt no matter what but then again maybe she'll understand. I say go for it. Just don't say you are a bore. Just say I wanna be friends and I am not in the mood to date anymore. 'Nuff said! What should you do if you lose interest in your girlfriend and want to break up? How do I politely do it?
just tell her (face to face--none of that over the phone or email crap). She may cry, she may try to talk you out of it, or she may be glad that it is over. Just be easy with her.

P.S. Don't suggest that let's be friends mess. We don't like it.
just say that you're not really interested in dating but you still wanna be friends. you know, just Sound polite, you don't need to say polite words.
honesty is the answer just tell her you just want to be friends
Well, that explains why you haven't taken her calls for the last four days.

Whatever you do, be honest but don't feed her a line of BS either. Just tell her the way you just worded your question. You'd like to be friends, but you just don't want to date anymore.

If you really have no intention of wanting to be friends, then just make sure it's a clean break, otherwise, she might think you're just temporarily breaking up with her.
Go to her and let her know you want to talk. Tell her you really enjoyed the time you spent with her but you don't feel the same way you use to. Be honest and if she is an adult, she will understand and will agree to continue to be friends. The main thing is don't lead her on. Letting her think things may change. Tell her up front and see what happens.
ignore and move away.
